My beloved floofy white dog Bear (seen in my photos)has been missing since My 30th. We were outside enjoying a beautiful sunny day gardening, he got up and left towards one of our barley fields (nothing unusual), though sadly he never returned. About a half hour after he left I heard coyotes out in the direction he ran to (though again, that's nothing unusual, I hear them every evening). What scares me is he's never left overnight, nevermind 5 days, and he's old. The Pyrenees lifespan is about 9-11 years. And he's 9, so he isn't as tough as he used to be, and he tires very easily now, especially in heat. I don't want to think negatively but I am fearing the worst. He either got killed/eaten by coyotes, he just collapsed somewhere of exhaustion, or someone has him. It's against his nature to leave his "herd", and because he never came back, i think something happened to him that evening he left because he would have come home. So I don think he was exhausted. I know the coys have pups right now, I can hear them, so they'd be very protective right now.
Anyway, I've put up signs everywhere around my area, and put an ad in the paper today. Hes a pretty hard dog to miss, being giant and white, and everything is green right now, so hopefully someone will find him. Even if hes found dead, I just wanan know so I can stop worrying

Poor Bear Bear.
